Romanian-American unity project

in Phoenix, Arizona

[Arizona] Phoenix Mission is an inter-confessional group with a mission to periodically gather Christians from all denominations in Arizona, with the purpose of finding similarities among all Romanians within the Grand Canyon State. Realizing that Christian unity can substantially contribute to our unity among our Romanian-American community, our purpose is to promote the fundamental beliefs of Christianity and its ethics. Although there are many denominations, Christianity is one religion. The foundation of Christianity is the distinct teaching of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Therefore, believers should live a lifestyle according to His teaching, fully living at a spiritual level, having fellowship through the love of God and to our neighbors. This is the path to salvation, which is the reason that Christ came into this world.

Unfortunately, all Christian denominations have this discrepancy between doctrine and practical living. The basic principles of Christianity are clearly evident and known, but Christians are pre-occupied and give preference to the social system; traditions and habits given by men through the ages. We believe that all Christians, regardless of their religious beliefs, have distanced themselves from the creator of the universe and we are in need of a restoration of the healthy principles in our lives and in our families.

Another objective is to offer a spiritual perspective of the lives of people in the state of Arizona. Every week, members of our group present video recordings from various churches of all denominations in the Phoenix area. Access to these programs can be seen on our website: www.phoenixmission. org under the Media section.

We would also like to invite all the Romanians who enjoy writing articles, essays or poems to contact us at the following email address: phoenixmission@ ymail.com
