More austerity protests planned in Romania
Romania (MNN) — Protestors in Romania clashed violently with riot police earlier this week with the promise of more to come. The mob was a response to the bite of new austerity measures, which sparked the backlash. Evangelist Sammy Tippit explains: “The economic crisis has grown. It has taken strong hold in Romania right now with the austerity measures that have been taken. It’s very difficult for people financially, and people are hurting, discontent and taking to the streets.” Tippit has a long history with believers in Romania, so this crisis is especially personal. “The churches are still praying for God to intervene in this situation, because they remember when something very similar to this took place during the Revolution.” Tippet has been coming alongside church leaders to encourage and train them. In turn, he has received encouragement. “I believe that God is shaking the nations to their foundations. He wants us to turn to Him and seek Him for leadership.”

Dumnezeu astazi ne-a binecuvantat cu o noua victorie enorma in lupta pentru libertate! In luna Noiembrie v-am chemat la rugaciune pentru Susan Pine, credincioasa din West Palm Beach (FL) persecutata de doi ani de zile de guvernul American pentru ca a avut curajul sa vorbeasca despre valoarea vietii in fata unei clinici de avort. Eric Holder, Procurorul General al Statelor Unite, a incercat sa o amendeze cu zeci de mii de dolari, si sa-i interzica sa mai paseasca vreodata pe trotuarul public.
Va-ti alaturat de mine in rugaciune, iar Dumnezeul nostru s-a dovedit din nou atotputernic!
Judecatorul Kenneth Ryskamp a decis astazi pentru Susan, si impotriva guvernul. Aducand un sfarsit dramatic si categoric inchizitiei impotriva lui Susan, Judecatorul Ryskamp l-a alungat pe Procurorul Holder afara din tribunal, si a restaurat lui Susan toate drepturile garantate de Constitutia Americii.
Susan este nespus de fericita cu aceasta decizie. Va puteti inchipui ca nu i-a fost usor sa se lupte cu propriul sau guvern pentru doi ani de zile. Ea continua sa apere VIATA in fiecare zi.
Va multumesc din nou pentru rugaciunile fierbinti si sprijinul vostru care aduc roadele acestea minunate. Servim un Dumnezeu viu, tare si mare. Fie ca numele Lui sa fie glorificat si inaltat prin aceasta victorie.

Depun eforturi substantiale ca sa tin pasul cu evolutia si sa fiu cat de cat relevant pentru generatia actuala. Dumnezeu m-a chemat si pentru generatia de astazi nu doar pentru cea de ieri, care venea cu Biblia sub brat la Biserica si socializa in jurul unei cani de ceai si al unui borcan cu dulceata de cirese.
Ca trebuie sa socializam este un dat, un imperativ, dar nu cred ca trebuie sa mai argumentam ca, in ciuda cailor nebanuite de socializare virtuala, generatia de azi este profund nesocializata. Despre Adevarul Absolut … fara manipulare sau control
Grupurile religioase, indiferent de marimea lor, se bazeaza in promovarea crezurilor proprii pe monopol si pe control.
Fiecare grup religios pretinde ca detine adevarul si ca monopolizeaza metodele de a intelege acel adevar. In afara grupului, adevarul se pierde, pentru ca unde nu exista monopol nu exista control si nicio organizatie nu poate functiona daca nu-si controleaza, intr-un fel sau altul, membrii. Acesta este motivul pentru care, in Noul Testament, Biserica este privita ca un organism viu – unde puterea vietii Duhului se manifesta spontan, autonom si impotriva rigorilor impuse de regulile omului – si nu ca o organizatie rigida si fara viata.
Pentru a monopoliza adevarul, liderii grupului vor folosi un discurs exclusivist, radical si transant. Vor (re)inventa un fel de totalitarism teologic periculos, o dictatura doctrinara protejata de un aparat represiv extrem de eficient. Vor folosi pana la paroxism expresii ca: adevar absolut, adevar suveran, adevar unic, credinta cea adevarata s.a.m.d si isi vor ataca concurentii folosind clisee invechite, dar care au un numitor comun: relativismul liberal… Citeste mai departe aici

What People Experience in Churches
Most Americans have first-hand experiences in churches or parishes. What happens, if anything, in the
hearts and minds of those who attend? To explore this matter, Barna Group surveyed Americans who have attended a Christian church sometime in the past and discovered what they say about their experiences in these congregations.
Connecting with God
Connecting with God is perhaps the most important outcome facilitated by churches. Most people (66%) feel they have had “a real and personal connection” with God while attending church. However, that means one-third of those who have attended a church in the past have never felt God’s presence while in a congregational setting. Also, when asked about frequency, most of those who have attended church describe these encounters as rare. One-third of all adults in the country report connecting with God at least monthly (35%) via a congregational setting. Among those who attend church every week, 44% said they experience God’s presence every week and 18% do so on a monthly basis… Full article here

Toți membii unei biserici penticostale arestați
Nu știu dacă să pun pe seama vitezei de răspândire a informațiilor sau pe seama creșterii reale a violenței împotriva creștinilor, dar știrile din ultima vreme despre chinurile la care sunt supuși credincioșii s-au înmulțit considerabil.
În data de 23 decembrie o biserică întreagă a fost arestată de către poliția iraniană. Pastorul Farhad Sabokrouh, soția sa, Shahnaz Jizani, precum și toată adunarea —inclusiv copiii — au fost arestați, încărcați întru-un autobuz și duși într-o locație necunoscută. Assemblies of God Starts a Church a Day
The Assemblies of God, one of the nation’s largest Pentecostal denominations, opened more than a church a day last year.
In all, 368 new churches opened in 2011, the denomination said. That total marks the second highest number of church starts since it began keeping reliable statistics in 1965.
Factoring in church closures, there are now 12,595 Assemblies of God congregations in the country, the highest ever recorded… Full article here

“ Mulţumesc Domnului şi vouă pentru privilegiul de a încheia acest mandat prezidenţial. În perioada 2009-2011 au fost doi ani de har şi de experienţe frumoase. Mă alătur de acum „foştilor“ preşedinţi ABR şi privesc cu nădejde la cei care vor avea cinstea aceasta în mandatele următoare.
Preşedintele ABR nu este nici mitropolit, nici patriarh şi nici papă, ci doar un coordonator al eforturilor şi un reprezentant al poziţiilor şi direcţiei pe care mergem împreună. De pe această poziţie, iată câteva observaţii la sfârşit de mandat şi câteva recomandări pentru lucrări care ar trebui iniţiate pe viitor…”

Iranian pastor awaiting execution may face another year in prison
There are unconfirmed reports that an Iranian pastor sentenced to death for apostasy may have to spend another year in prison.
The case of Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani has twice been referred to the Supreme Leader of Iran, who has yet to issue a decision.
Christian Solidarity Worldwide said that a final ruling is expected at anytime and that it had received unconfirmed reports indicating that execution may be delayed for up to a year to allow time to convince the pastor to renounce his faith.
The organisation said it had also received reports that another jailed pastor, Behnam Irani, was suffering as a result of “frequent” assaults … Full article here

Persecuted Christians and a Post Kim Jong-Il North Korea
As the news of Kim Jong-Il’s death is being shared around the world, there have been many different reactions.
Some are relieved that this dictator is no longer in power and believe that his son and successor, Kim Jong-Un, will be a leader that cares more for the people of North Korea. Others fear that this transition will make life in North Korea even worse than it was before.
Many news agencies are only focusing on the reaction to Kim Jong-Il’s death and are omitting the horrific details of what life was like under his regime. Approximately 2-4 million North Koreans starved to death in the 1990’s. The political prison camps of North Korea were expanded under Kim Jong-Il’s reign with at least 200,000 prisoners in these camps. These citizens were imprisoned solely for falling out of favor with the regime, for being Christian or for being related to someone who fell out of favor with the regime. Repatriation of North Korean refugees often results in execution or detention. Numerous documents show that forced abortions and experimentation on prisoners with chemical weapons are common… Full article here

Oază de linişte şi pace la biserica “Elim” din Phoenix, Arizona
Biserica Penticostală ELIM (www.elimarizona.com) din Phoenix - Arizona, poate fi considerată una dintre 
bisericile de referință în mișcarea penticostală română, atât din orașul Phoenix, cât și din America. Este prima biserică constituită în acest oraș. Începutul își are originea pe la mijlocul anului 1980. Pe atunci, câteva familii penticostale stabilite în Arizona, și-au manifestat dorința de a lăuda pe Dumnezeu și a continua părtășia adevăratei dragoste frățești, după modelul primilor creștini, despre care se relatează în cartea Faptele Apostolilor, Cap. 2: „Și toți împreună lăudau pe Dumnezeu și erau plăcuți înaintea întregului popor”… Tot articolul aici
